Artwork & file formats

VECTOR IMAGES:  We love vector artwork! It provides the best results, as it’s line-based and can be sized up or down without losing quality,  making them perfect for color separations. These files and created in programs like Illustrator. Common formats include .ai, .eps, .pdf, and .svg.

RASTER IMAGES: Raster images, like .jpg, . png, .tif, and .png, are often used for photographs but can be tricky to separate if the quality is low. Low-quality images typically have a low dpi (dots per inch), resulting in jagged edges when magnified. For best results, submit raster images at actual size with a high dpi (300+). Internet images, usually at 72 dpi and won’t provide good print quality.

VECTORIZING IMAGES:  Raster images can be recreated into vector images.

Please be aware that more time consuming design  jobs such as c
omplex recreations may incur an additional charge which we’d discuss ahead of time.
